There may be times when you want to edit your previously created Facebook campaign. For example, you may notice a mistake in your ad copy, that an ad set isn’t performing too well, or perhaps you would like to improve your targeting settings.
To edit an existing campaign, ad set, or ad, is very simple.
Firstly, you need to click on the ‘Campaigns’ tab on the left-hand menu section.
Then hover over the item you want to edit. This can be at the campaign, ad set or ad level. Now, click on the “Edit” icon right below the item you want to make changes to.
Alternatively, you can also edit by selecting the icon and clicking ‘Edit’ on the top of the main panel. A pop-up will slide in from the right, where you can do your editions.
Editing Campaigns
At the campaign level, you can edit the campaign name and set a spending limit (this is optional).
Editing Ad Sets
For ad sets, you will follow the same process as the campaign. Hover your mouse on the ad set and click ‘Edit’. From there you can edit the ad set: name, budget, schedule, target audience, location, interests/ demographics/ behaviours, and placements.
Also, from ‘Advanced Options’ you can edit your delivery optimisation settings, choose your conversion window and your bidding model (automatic or manual bid).
Editing Adverts
Hover your mouse on top of the Advert name and click ‘Edit’. At this level, you can edit the ad name and all the fields of your creative (image, text, link, call-to-action).
